This temple enshrines Japan’s oldest Benzaiten, known for bestowing blessings in the arts and financial success. It is also famous as the birthplace of the Japanese lottery. The temple has historical significance as a training site for renowned Buddhist monks such as Gyoki, Kukai, and Nichiren. Located along the scenic promenade from Minoh Station to the Great Waterfall, it is a great spot to visit while enjoying a leisurely walk.
