Amagasaki Castle was originally built in 1617 in Amagasaki City, Hyogo Prefecture. Although it was demolished during the Meiji era, it was reconstructed in 2019 thanks to the goodwill of many people. The castle offers a variety of exhibits and interactive experiences where visitors of all ages can have fun while learning about the history and culture of Amagasaki.
One of the most popular attractions is the “Dress-Up Experience Zone” on the third floor. This area features a spacious tatami-floored hall designed to resemble the “Golden Room” of Amagasaki Castle during the Edo period. Visitors can dress up as ninjas, samurais, or princesses and take commemorative photos against the luxurious golden sliding doors. Best of all, this experience is included with admission at no extra cost, making it accessible for children and adults alike. It’s the perfect way to create memorable moments—why not transform into a samurai or princess during your visit?
