“Masahiko Ozumi Paris”, the newest popular store with a long waiting line
What is this that looks like a woolen knit? …… It is actually a Mont Blanc cake! “Masahiko Ozumi Paris” is an Osaka patisserie that has exploded in popularity with its uniquely shaped cakes, and customers are lining up before the store opens at the Hankyu Department Store Umeda Main Store.
The “Mont Blanc Japonais” pictured above is made from carefully selected Japanese chestnuts. It is also called “Zabuton Mont Blanc” because it looks like a zabuton, a cushion that is laid out when sitting on tatami mats.
Other cakes are made to look like mittens, knit boots, croissants, etc! These innovative cakes were designed using CAD software and realized using a 3D printer.
Since these cakes are fresh, it is difficult to take them back to your home country on an airplane, but you should definitely try them in your hotel room.

The snack “OSATSUDOKI” is a sweet potato chip that has been a daily favorite of Japanese people in convenience stores and supermarkets since its launch in 1985.
The Hankyu Department Store Umeda Main Limited Store, which bears the name of the product, sells a premium line of “OSATSUDOKI”. Two types are available: the “Zaku Zaku” series, in which sweet potatoes are sliced 1.5 times thicker than usual to create a crispy texture, and the “Shittori” series, in which the original moistness of the sweet potato can be enjoyed. “DROOLY”, a cheese with honey specialty store, is also the only store located in the Hanshin Department Store Umeda Main Store. The brand has an adorable storybook worldview with the character of “Drooly,” a bear who enjoys pouring honey on cheese.
The “Financier [Gorgonzola with Honey]” is an adult-oriented sweet accented with Gorgonzola (more than 60% of the cheese powder) and salt from Guerande.
The “Cookie [Camembert with Honey]” (made with at least 75% Camembert in cheese powder) is a well-balanced sweet and salty confection consisting of Camembert chocolate sandwiched between cookies made with honey and Hokkaido milk.

“VANI-バニ”, a brand of vanilla sweets, is a new store that just opened in November 2023. It is the only physical store in Japan. Vanilla beans are extracted from the pods of rare, aged vanilla, and the sweets are covered with the elegant and gorgeous aroma of the vanilla.
The “millefeuille” is a light vanilla cream sandwiched between three crispy pies. When you eat it, the mellow sweet aroma spreads softly and fills you with a sense of happiness.]
