HANKYU SANBAN GAI

A commercial facility directly connected to Hankyu Osaka Umeda Station. Hanshin Department Store Umeda Main Store

The entire building will be renovated and reopened in April 2022. The food section on the first basement floor, the bar alley on the second basement floor, and the large cafeteria on the ninth floor are all full of gourmet food. The thematic floor structure, including fashion, art, and culture, provides new information that transcends the department store.

This is an eating space where a wide variety of gourmet foods are available. It is a casual place to stop by during shopping, and in addition to sushi, curry, ramen, and tonkatsu, you can also taste sashimi, yakitori, gyoza, and other dishes along with sake and beer from lunch time.

HANSHIN FOOD MARKET

If you are looking for gourmet foods and souvenirs unique to Osaka, head to the “Food Hall” on the first basement floor. It is one of the largest “department stores” in the Kansai region, boasting an overwhelming selection of fresh foods, sweets, alcoholic beverages, side dishes, and other items that you may not be able to find anywhere else in the city.

The Umeda Chair

A huge red chair in the shape of the characters for “Umeda”. You can sit on the “田 (da)” part. It is a photo spot where you can take pictures with the Giant Ferris Wheel of “HEP FIVE” also in bright red in the background. If you visit Umeda, be sure to take a commemorative photo here!

HEP FIVE

This commercial complex houses approximately 170 stores, including fashion and general merchandise stores popular among the younger generation, as well as restaurants and amusement facilities. In the atrium space, a red whale parent-and-child objet d’art designed by artist Tatsuya Ishii swims.

HEP FIVE Ferris Wheel

The red Giant Ferris Wheel, a landmark in Umeda with a diameter of 75 meters, is installed on top of a building. The gondola rises to a height of 106 meters above the ground, offering a panoramic view of the city of Osaka. Enjoy a 15-minute walk in the air in the middle of the city.

UMEDA SKY BUILDING

This skyscraper is famous for its unique shape of two connected buildings, 40 floors above ground and approximately 173 meters high. At the top of the skyscraper is a fully open rooftop observation deck that offers a 360-degree panoramic view of the city of Night Osaka. The surrounding area is also home to the Wall of Hope, a huge green wall designed by architect Tadao Ando, and is popular as a lush green spot in the city.
