Designed by architect Tadao Ando as a symbol of cultural recovery from the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake. In addition to special exhibitions with great appeal, the museum holds exhibitions one after another, rotating displays through the approximately 9,000 pieces it has in its collection, including those of Hyogo locals such as the artist Ryohei Koiso.
