Hankyu Railway is having a collaboration project with Tom and Jerry, a slapstick humor animation loved around the world featuring the chase between the cat Tom and the mouse Jerry. Starting with decorated trains, there is collaboration food and goods available for purchasing. If you are visiting Osaka, Kyoto or Kobe, make sure that you won’t miss the event!

The collaboration project with TOM and JERRY and Hankyu Railway will run until March 27, 2025.

The main attraction is the decorated Tom and Jerry Train! One for each on Kobe Line connecting Osaka-umeda and Kobe-sannomiya, the Kyoto Line connecting Osaka-umeda and Kyoto-kawaramachi, and the Takarazuka Line connecting Osaka-umeda and Takarazuka are wrapped in the worldview of Tom and Jerry!

*Only the regular fare is required.

You can ride with regular tickets or IC cards such as ICOCA.

Tom and Jerry came to visit at the media preview held the day before the start of operation!

The car bodies are decorated in exclusive artwork of Tom and Jerry going to the famous tourist spots along the Hankyu line, which are likely to include some of the places that you have been before.

Besides, each of those decorated trains has an original headmark and plush toys of Tom and Jerry wearing maroon uniforms also accompany the driver’s compartment.

The world of Tom and Jerry extends inside the train as well. Among all decorations, the door stickers exclusive to the Takarazuka Line placed under the doors and next to the seats are fun to see!

The poster by the window of the door shows Jerry’s face reflected from the car body. Hankyu trains are always shiny and polished like mirrors, so when you get on a Hankyu train, don’t forget to see if you can see your face reflected like Jerry’s.

Originally designed collaboration goods including plush toys of Tom and Jerry wearing maroon uniforms, towel handkerchiefs, drawstrings, pouches, and acrylic stands are now available for purchasing.

Tom and Jerry and other characters wear maroon uniforms, the colors of the Hankyu Railway. Also, embroidered badges are of high quality!

Popular collaboration goods may be sold out soon so those who want to buy some as a souvenir better check earlier!

Enjoying afternoon tea has become a boom in Japan, and elaborate afternoon teas are popular in hotel tea lounges and cafes.
TOM and JERRY×HANKYU collaboration project also has cute afternoon tea that you can enjoy.

At the “Parterre” tea lounge at Hotel Hankyu International in Osaka Umeda, the world of “Tom and Jerry” is displayed by a three-tier tea stand.
The “cheese-like” dessert is actually made from mango in order to truly reproduce the yellow cheese in the cartoon.

Hotel Hanshin Osaka’s Japanese cuisine and tempura restaurant Hanaza offers a Japanese-style afternoon tea created with the image of Tom and Jerry traveling through Japan in autumn.

The sweets and savories provided remind people of the cartoon’s storys, such as red jellies and large sandwiches.

*Available only during weekday lunch hours from September 4 (Wed.) to November 25 (Mon.), 2024 (closed on Mondays and Thursdays); reservations required by 12:00 p.m. the day before.

The Italian dining restaurant “Grigliato CUÓCA” at Hotel Hankyu RESPIRE OSAKA in Umeda is now offering an Italian lunch made of plenty of cheese, Jerry’s favorite food.

Salad, main beef dish, lasagna, and dessert are served together with Tom and Jerry’s cappuccino. On the plate there is a drawing depicting Tom chasing Jerry.

TOM and JERRY x HANKYU collaboration food will also be available at some stores along Hankyu Railway from September 4 to November 25.

Drinks inspired by Tom and Jerry and branded marron cream and maple baked cakes are recommended for a break from sightseeing and shopping.

Baumkuchen and drip bag tins make great souvenirs for family and friends!

That is Tom and Jerry manju! Each manju is handmade by craftsmen, whose focus on details and delicacy creates the high quality of the manju.
