Yasaka Koshindo Temple

This temple is gaining popularity on SNS, especially among women. Since the Koshin worshipers regard monkeys as messengers of the gods, “Three Wise Monkeys” (see no evil, speak no evil, hear no evil) are enshrined on the temple grounds. The colorful “Tied Monkey”, which look like hand-shaped balls, and Yukata&Kimono go well together, and are popular for their photogenic appearance.

Kiyomizu-Dera Temple

Kiyomizu-Dera Temple was founded in 778 and is one of the representative temples of Kyoto. It is registered as a UNESCO World Heritage Site as a cultural asset of the ancient capital of Kyoto, and is visited by many tourists from Japan and abroad regardless of the season.
Especially famous is the stage of Kiyomizu-dera. The stage is approximately 13 meters high, and the floor is covered with hinoki cypress boards. Kiyomizu-dera Temple is beautiful in any season, spring, summer, fall, and winter, but it is especially popular during the season of autumn leaves. The temple is especially popular during the fall foliage season. More than 1,000 maple trees grow on the temple grounds and turn bright red as they envelop the main hall. The temple also holds a special nighttime viewing in late November every year.
