Suzumushidera Temple is situated in the western part of Kyoto, in an area of great natural beauty. During fall foliage season, visitors can view red maple leaves in the garden and along the road approaching the temple’s gate. Try viewing the beautiful fall foliage of Suzumushidera Temple while listening to the chirping of the crickets! The crickets (“suzumushi”), for which the temple is named, can be heard throughout the year.
