A majestic trail lined with tens of thousands of bamboo trees in Sagano, north of Togetsu Bridge, the symbol of Arashiyama. The bamboo thicket covering the sky stretches for about 400 meters. This area is believed to have been a retreat for aristocrats during the Heian period (794 -1185). Strolling the trail, you can spend a special moment feeling the beauty of nature, the sunlight shining through the greenery, and the sound of rustling leaves. A light-up event is also held every December. The bamboo grove tinged with golden-yellow and ultramarine-blue provides a fantastic view.
