Arima Onsen has two types of hot springs: Kin-sen and Gin-sen. Kin-sen contains iron and salt, is cloudy reddish brown in color, and is effective for retaining heat and beautifying the skin. There are two types of Gin-sen, one containing carbonic acid and the other radioactive spring containing radon, both of which are colorless, clear, and refreshing.
Kin no Yu, a one-day hot spring located in the center of Arima Onsen, offers Kin-sen. There is a footbath next to the building that can be enjoyed free of charge. Soaking your feet in the therapeutic hot water for 15 minutes will warm your whole body.
