Rickshaws are two-wheeled vehicles which are pulled by drivers to carry passengers. It is said that they were invented in Japan in the early Meiji era, and you can still see them running around cities with tourist attractions such as Kyoto and Asakusa. Their office is about a 7-minute walk from Hankyu Arashiyama Station. Their rickshaws tour the sightseeing spots in the Arashiyama area, mainly around the Togetsu Bridge area, which is famous for cherry blossoms and autumn leaves. Rickshaw drivers who are familiar with the area may introduce you to some hidden spots and information not listed in the guidebooks. Why don’t you enjoy a different kind of trip to Kyoto?
